Dynamic Impressions
My paintings are the expression of my vivacity and enduring passion for painting, coupled with over forty years experience. By immersing myself in the process, I use whatever I need to use to make the marks I want to make and instictively select colours that capture the essense and atmosphere of a place or feeling. I go with the flow, layering and scraping back, layering and scraping back, pouring, dragging, relying on my raw excitement for the work. I dance to loud music as I paint to get out of my own way. A painting is only finished when it has an energy all of its own.

Colourful Cornwall
Semi-abstracted, these paintings are infused with the colours and energy of the rugged coastlines and ever changing light of Cornwall. I have been based in and around St Ives for more than thirty years it is the character, the moods of this place I attempt to capture.
